UTAS Pathway Program in Korea

The purpose of UTAS Pathway Program is to prepare Korean students for a guaranteed entry into the University of Tasmania (UTAS) degree programs with advanced standing. Pathway Program in Korea is managed by a Korean education company called KrEdu in the partnership with Korean universities.

On successful completion of UTAS pathway programs in Korea, students will be guaranteed their places in UTAS degree programs with one or two years advanced standing towards their degree programs. Students, who have not achieved the English language requirements, will be required to undertake further English language study at UTAS before commencing their degree programs at UTAS.

English language requirements for entry to UTAS undergraduate programs in Tasmania are currently an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band below 5.5.

Based on academic merits, UTAS may offer scholarships to students who have successfully completed their pathway programs in Korea.

Current Programs Available in Korea

  • 1+2 Bachelor of Business at Soongsil University Computer Institute
  • 1+2 Bachelor of Computing at Soongsil University Computer Institute
  • 1+2 Bachelor of Information Systems at Soongsil University Computer Institute.

Programs Planned for March 2009

  • 1+2 Bachelor of Contemporary Arts, specialising Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Textiles, Photomedia and Printmaking
  • 1+2 Bachelor of Environmental Design, specialising Architecture, Interior Design and Furniture Design
  • 2+2 Bachelor of Law
  • 1+1 Master of Information Technology
  • 1+1.5 Master of Computing
