Bachelor of Arts & Master of Journalism and Media Studies, Graduated 2004

Variya, from Bangkok, completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Chinese with UTAS and continued on to complete a Master of Journalism and Media Studies in 2004.  She now works as an Operation Manager for Imperial Health and Spa Co. Ltd. in Bangkok.

“I chose to study with UTAS after completing my high school at the Friends School in Hobart.  My studies with UTAS gave me the knowledge and confidence I need in my career and through my studies I learned how to think for myself.

Tasmania has a beautiful natural environment, the people are friendly and Hobart is a very peaceful city.

I was able to work part-time while I studied and I found work immediately as a waitress in a restaurant and as a retail shop keeper.

I would definitely recommend UTAS to anyone serious about undertaking studies at university.”
