Our Students - Thi Le Dung Nguyen

Master of Professional Accounting, Current Student

Thi Le Dung NguyenDung from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is currently undertaking a Master of Professional Accounting degree with UTAS after having completed an MBA in the USA and a Master of Education with UTAS.

“UTAS is located in Tasmania, a very beautiful island in Australia, where people enjoy life with the sounds of birds singing, the wind and the sea, and can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

There are many fun activities like fishing, driving to the top of Mount Wellington to see a great view of the city, walking along the beach, exploring the natural heritage and social history of the Queen’s Domain, the old Beaumaris Zoo, and enjoying the fragrant rose gardens in the grounds of the original UTAS campus.
Although the weather can be cool, the sunshine is always here to warm us up during the day.

UTAS is one of the oldest and most respected universities in Australia that has a great learning environment and student life on campus. Students study theories at lectures, and do practical exercises in tutorials and workshops.

Lecturers and UTAS staff are always available and willing to help students solve any problems around study and student life. International students get help to improve their English if they need it and as a result, most students achieve high academic skills to help them succeed in the workplace once they have graduated.
Once I have finished my MPA degree with UTAS, I will meet the academic requirements to be a member of CPA Australia. Studying the 12 units within the MPA will give me a solid background in accounting knowledge and prepare me with workplace skills for my future career.

Highlights of studying with UTAS have been great teaching approaches by combining theories and practices in lectures and tutorials, a great environment for self-study and teamwork, and full support from lecturers and UTAS staff.

Tasmania is a truly natural place where everyone can enjoy life and the local people are friendly and helpful. For international students who want to improve their English skills quickly, Tasmania is the best choice because the people here are mostly English speaking Australians with a high educational background.

UTAS is the right place for everyone who is planning for further university studies in Australia.”
