- Quotes from English Language Centre Students
Bachelor of Architecture (Honours), Graduate 2006
Architect, SD Architects, Singapore
Word of mouth in her home country of Thailand was how Gina first came to hear about the architecture program at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
“UTAS has a strong reputation for its architecture program and having a high level of international recognition appealed to me. Being recognised by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) and the Commonwealth Association of Architects, the course has provided me with excellent opportunities, especially in Singapore where I have ended up working”.
Gina, who graduated from a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours in 2006 (following a Bachelor of Environmental Design) is now employed with SD Architects, where she has the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including residential, industrial, institutional, commercial, town council and interior design works.
“I believe that UTAS is a very special university located in a special place. I especially liked living in Launceston and although I spent most of my time working on my uni projects, I loved engaging in outdoor sports, especially bushwalking, and some occasional part-time work”.
“I thank you UTAS. It was definitely a once in a life time experience”.
