Bachelor of Science - Bachelor of Law, Graduate
Lecturer – Ocean Law & Policy
From the island of Tasmania to the islands of Fiji, Pio firmly believes that his undergraduate studies at UTAS have provided him with a solid platform for employment in a range of disciplines and locations.
As a graduate of a combined Science-Laws degree, Pio is now utilising his valuable combination of skills and working in his native country of Fiji as a Lecturer in Ocean Law and Policy for University of the South Pacific, Suva.
Pio recommends UTAS to anyone who would like to study away from the hustle and bustle of big universities and cities. “Compared to other larger tertiary institutions in Australia, there is a greater sense of community at UTAS because of its relatively small student population. I was also privileged to study under recognised international experts in the areas of environmental management and law. The networks and friendships formed with lecturers and students are invaluable and continue to enrich my career today”.
