Master of Information Systems (2003)

Kwanna, from Bangkok, completed a Master of Information Systems with UTAS in 2003.  She now works as an Assistant Regional Compliance Officer with Siemens Limited Thailand in Bangkok.

“My relatives told me about UTAS and I chose to study there because there were less Thai students than some other universities and the tuition fees were affordable.

The skills I developed through my studies, such as strategic thinking, English communications and presentation skills, help me a lot in my job now.

When I studied, the university provided a laptop to each Masters student and lecturers were readily available for consultation.

I liked living in Tasmania as it was crimeless, the air was clear and the people were nice and friendly.

My relatives have a Thai restaurant in Hobart so I was able to work there as a waitress part-time while completing my studies.

I would recommend UTAS to Thai students who are serious about furthering their education at university.
