Cost of Living*

Students in Cafeteria

For the purposes of Streamlined Visa Processing, the University advises that the indicative annual cost of living in Tasmania for 2012 is A$18,610.

The cost of living in both Hobart and Launceston is dependent on a student's lifestyle and budgeting skills. Many of our students advise that their cost of living ranges between A$12,000 and A$14,500 annually (covering accommodation, transport, food, electricity etc.). However, for the purposes of Streamlined Visa Processing, students will be required to confirm they have sufficient funds to support annual living costs of A$18,610.

There is no application fee** payable to submit an application for assessment. In addition, UTAS offers free airport pick up plus a full range of services and student support at no cost, which will help make your student life in Tasmania enjoyable!
