Visa
When you have received your offer you need to accept it by signing the Acceptance form and return it to International Services at UTAS. A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be issued to you. The CoE is an official confirmation that you have been accepted to study at UTAS and you will need to present a copy of this document when applying for your student visa.
Please contact your nearest Australian Consulate/Embassy or check the Australian Immigration website to see if you are categorised as Assessment Level 1 to apply online
Health Insurance
It is a government regulation that all students on a student visa should be covered by private health insurance. Medibank Private Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is the preferred health cover choice. The health cover is for the duration of your visa and is a prerequisite when applying for your student visa. Payment is made during your application process.
Norwegian and Swedish students covered by either the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme, CSN (the Swedish National Board of Student Aid) or by Kammarkollegiet are exempt from purchasing compulsory OSHC.
