Undergraduate Programs

Most of our undergraduate programs including Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Bachelor degree have the following English language requirements.

  • IELTS (Academic) - 6.0 (no individual band less than 5.5)
  • TOEFL (PBT) 550 TWE 4.5; TOEFL (iBT) 80 (no score below 20)
  • PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 42
  • UTAS DEAP Overall 60% (Writing 55%)
  • Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) - B Grade
  • Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficency in English) - C Grade
  • Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) Higer - C Grade

AHPRA English language requirements for graduates of Biomedical Science, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Psychology

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has recently announced that it is mandatory for all graduates seeking registration with the relevant National Board to demonstrate that they have achieved an overall IELTS score of 7.0. Those seeking registration as a Pharmacist should note that the overall IELTS score required for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia is 7.5. Please note that only Academic IELTS scores will be accepted and test results will generally need to have been obtained within the two years preceding the application for registration.
