The Johannes Kepler University, founded in 1966, is one of the youngest institutions of higher education in Austria. JKU is a contemporary, progressive and modern university that has managed to build and maintain a close interdisciplinary relationship between the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences to fulfil the demands of business and society today.
JKU has a strong global focus and accentuates a multicultural exchange of ideas and concepts and an international curriculum of study. A variety of European and international programs as well as worldwide bilateral agreements allow lecturers and students to maintain, apart from a scientific, also a personal and intercultural exchange. The growing numbers of students from our partner universities emphasize JKU’s attraction as exchange destination.
Student Experience
"I studied International Business and Management courses at the JKU and I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the courses. Also, Austria is a perfect place to travel from, so a lot of my time was spent travelling all over Europe. You can travel to Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, the Czech Republic, or any city in Austria in less than a day from Linz. It‘s only a short train or car ride away from Vienna, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Innsbruck and other picturesque Austrian cities that are great to visit. Also, travel is cheap and easy. I would strongly recommend studying in Linz and am very glad that I chose Johannes Kepler University.”
