Orientation
The English Language Centre holds orientation programs for every module. The orientation is usually held on the Friday before the commencement of the module.

Orientation is compulsory and is very important. The orientation program commences at 9am with a placement test so that students can be placed in the appropriate class.
The Student Advisers then talk to the new students and can answer any questions. At orientation Student Advisers will also:
- enrol students
- organise student ID cards
- arrange University email accounts
- provide important information about life in Tasmania
- take students on a tour of the campus.
Hobart orientation
- 9am - 4pm
- Foyer, Level 2, English Language Centre, Hytten Hall, University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay.
Launceston orientation
- 9am - 12.30pm
- English Language Centre (next to the Library), University of Tasmania, Newnham Campus, Launceston.
What to bring
Please bring your passport, your Letter of Offer and a pen. You will also need to know your address in Tasmania so please make sure you have it written down.
If you do not come to orientation you will miss out on important information.
