Hosting an international student can be an enriching and rewarding experience – a chance to experience the language, culture and cuisine of another country without leaving the comfort of your own home

Opportunities exist to host students aged 16-40+, commencing every month of the year, for periods ranging from 2-50 weeks.

To become a Homestay Host, you need to be able to offer:

  • One bedroom per student
  • Close proximity to public transport
  • Reasonable commuting distance to the University
  • A kind, warm and welcoming home
  • 3 healthy meals per day for the student

In return, the University:

  • Gives support and advice
  • Pays you $390 per fortnight and manages the payment system

If you would like to apply to become a Homestay Host, please complete the Homestay Host Profile and email it as an attachment to the relevant Homestay Coordinator. The Homestay Coordinators can be contacted by email or by phone during business hours.
