CELTA - Intensiveness of the Course

A high level of commitment is necessary as the course is very demanding. Cambridge regulations require that candidates attend 100% of the course, with an absence approved only in the case of illness supported by a medical certificate or in other exceptional circumstances.

People undertaking the full-time, 4-week course are strongly advised to ensure that they are healthy and free of any social or work commitments during the course.

It is good if prospective candidates can talk to someone who has done the course to get a first-hand account of the pressures and workload involved.
