Information for New ELC Students - Bringing your Family to Australia

Students intending to travel to Australia with their family must be aware of certain obligations. Dependant family members may be eligible to apply for a Student Dependant Visa, however if the children are of school age they must attend school and it may be necessary to pay school fees for them.
Tasmanian Government Schools may charge tuition fees for dependant school aged children. Private schools in Tasmania will charge a higher fee. It is recommended that you confirm prices at each school.
The University of Tasmania Community Child Care Centre is open to all children from 6 weeks to school age and offers quality child care facilities on both campuses.
